Food was very good, waiter was very nice. It was a slow day but all in all I'd eat here again. Rolls were good as well

Fun place with good food. Met friends from Sarasota for dinner there last night. Appetizers- fondue dip and Calamari were both great. Tuna entree with fried gnocchi was great. The gnocchi was really tasty and interesting. I had the Scallops with Risotto which was also very good. The Strip steak looked and smelled great. Nice approach to wine list. Enjoyed Cakebread Chardonnay at very reasonable price. Nina our server was a gem. Food was a little slow coming out but the company and conversation made up for it. Only real dig..my Dirty Martini tasted like Vermouth with Olive juice...the Goose was over-powered by the Vermouth. Would definitely return when in Punta Gorda again.

I have been here twice in the last week. Everyone in my party enjoyed it thoroughly each time. The service was excellent; our waitresses were attentive, polite, & very pleasant. The first time, my grandmother tried the shrimp scampi, which was good (not overwhelmingly great, but good). I had the sweet & sour butterfish - which I LOVED. I ordered it the second time as well. It is delicious & flaky & I want it in my mouth again right this second. My dad had the Boom Boom Shrimp, & said it was very good. The second time, there was also a chicken salad, fish & chips, & more Boom Boom Shrimp ordered, along with my repeat selection of the butterfish. Everyone was very pleased. My absolute favourite thing, though, was the chocolate cherry cheesecake. Never have I eaten such a delicious cheesecake. It was the cheesecake of the day, on a Friday, I believe, so I would strongly suggest going then to try this deliciousness. The tuxedo mousse cheesecake was also very good. All in all, I love River City Grill, & look forward to the next time I'm in town & can go again.

The food was very good. There was some disorganization at the front of house with our reservation, but it's possible that the traffic was higher than usual due to a special coupon that they were offering in the paper, which was a buy-one-get-one- free entree. Our service was good and relatively fast considering it was 6:30pm on a Thursday night. I am also gluten free and there was a good variety of options for me. I would come back for sure.

Scallops in this place are unbelievably fresh, tender and flavorful. Other delicacies include the Braised Short Ribs which are served atop a tomato sweet pea risotto with spinach. Our bartender, LORI, provided outstanding service with a great sense of humor and panache. Upscale ambiance, can get a bit noisy but that just means the place is full of people having a good time!

First the bad news. We had a set time reservation and were seated 20 minutes late. It got a whole lot better after that. The service was good. No constant pestering to order more drinks, but there when we needed to. The food was first rate. The rigatoni bolonegse was perhaps the best I've ever tasted (or was I just hungry from the extra wait?). Others also enjoyed their good. Diner came with a nice size Caesar salad and tasty rolls and butter. The drinks were fairly priced and well made. There is a ton of parking directly across the street from the Resturant so don't be mislead by past Yelp posts to the the contrary. Had we been seated on time or offered something to compensate for the wait this would have been a five star diner.

Strike one- 1st time we're told a 30 min wait,,,,,and hr later a rude elderly hostess is asked "any idea how much longer?" Rude answer and 20 min later we walk! Ok...they were busy...we go back...Strike two...three of us order a grouper dish.....it has an odor when it;s served to us...the waitress says..."I thought it smelled funny!" The fish was bad.....Strike Three.....we get puled pork, because we're told its the fastest thing on menu to get......I'm not sure which smelled or tasted the worse....the bad fish or the slop they called pulled pork......like they say 3 STRIKES AND YOU'RE OUT and RIVER CITY GRILL IS!

A near-perfect experience. The waitress was nice and checked in regularly, and took a very complicated sandwich order with enthusiasm. The onion rings were the best I've ever had! Also the Boom-Boom Shrimp was delightful. We came on a Thursday afternoon and it was only partially full. the appetisers came out quick while the main courses took quite a bit longer. Maybe they could've used another chef in the back? Either way the food was delicious except some parts of my fish that were questionable. Overall a good place and I'd definitely return for drinks, and to try other things (not fish).

Went for dinner during the week. They had a 'gift' special going on 2 for 1, so I made a reservation and was glad I did. The place was packed! We had a superb waiter, Eli, who manged to take care of us and about 4 other tables. Eli is knowledgeable on the specials, and attentive without hovering. Ask to sit in his section when you go. I had the vegetarian special, Cauliflower Steak, which was awesome. Scallops were delicious, as was the rigatoni bologanase. Will definitely be back :)

Two had strip steak which were tender and average size. One had filet which was very tender. Baked potatoes were a little hard. Mashed potato portion was small. One had cold water salmon which tasted great. Rice was good but portion size was small. Vegetables were good but a very small portion. Only one warm roll per person. Good atmosphere. Seating was spacious.

Very pleasant experience. Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable in accommodating to gluten free diet. Food was excellent, fresh prepared to order and delicious. You get a very nice portion with entrees. Outside seating. Mostly all of the food they get is local/organic. We ate here on our last night of vacation in Punta Gorda and it was fabulous! Definitely would recommend! One of the ONLY restaurants in Punta Gorda you will find open on a Sunday evening for dinner!

My first time impressed me. I was part of a very large group who had taken over the back room plus a large table. We were having drinks, shrimp and chicken to start and choices from a mini menu. The setting is great: downtown Punta Gorda is a local treat. I was pleased to discovers that Mgr. John Maddon of the Rays was a regular ST post game customer. Major Leaguers don't spend their good and drink money idly. The decor is tastefully contemporary from the front door on in; the bar is spacious with ample cafe table space; booths and tables are well spaced. Restrooms are clean and tasteful (if a bit of a hike to the back) , if the men's room is representative. The service was wonderful, diligent and friendly. We had about 50-60 people but the pre meal treats and drinks came early and often. The house merlot was smooth and bold: very enjoyable. Three main courses for our group included a wonderful three meat sauce pasta, chicken and NY sirloin. All three were acclaimed for their flavor; all were served quickly and all were more than ample. My chocolate cake treat was decadent and the coffee poured. Admittedly my first experience here was limited, but quite pleasant enough to plan a second trip with my partner and good friend K.

Dined here tonight and everything was fantastic. The pot roast, beef short ribs and pork tenderloin were to die for. Mary Jane was a polite, attentive and knowledgeable server. Drinks were perfect. Can't think of anything negative to say. Very pleasurable night out.

After a long day, what a relaxing dinner in store for us at River City Grill. The food was good, atmosphere was very nice, and couldn't ask for better service from Angie, our server. Everything firing on all cylinders making for a very nice evening. Definitely go back again next time were in town.

We went back a second time this week. The food was very good again; solid 4- whole party enjoyed; service was very good even though very crowded; Note the price is moderate ( ie: reasonable)

I've been to River City Grill many times. The ambiance is very nice, with a nice bar that is often busy. For me the star is the butterfish. It is one of my favorite fishes (aka sablefish or black cod) and they prepare it well with two different sauces. It has ranged from very good to outstanding. The other dishes that I've tried have not been up to the butterfish, but they have been tasty.

Terrible service. Made a 7:30 reservation for a party of 7. We arrived just before 7:30 and were told they were getting the table ready, pointed to a table in the corner and said it would be a few minutes. We sat in the waiting area while they got the table ready. After a wait that was a little longer than it really should have been the hostess came over and said she was sorry but they had to give our table to another group because they had a child at the bar. These people were being seated as she told us this. It was annoying that they chose to push this group in front of us instead of telling the group to move the child but it was something we would have dealt with. After the group at the table was set a man who I can only assume was the owner or manager came over to us and very aggressively said "We don't have room for you right now, we'll seat you when you can." At that point while we discussed in our group how the situation was odd but we had not complained nor said anything to any employees We all decided his attitude and the choice for him to tell use "We don't have room for you right now" was enough for us to leave. We informed the hostess we would be leaving and as we were leaving the manager/owner yelled "Were going to take you to a table right now." If that was the case why wasn't the group with the child taken to that table, and if they had this table that was ready why would he have came over and said "We don't have room for you right now". We ended up walking across the street to Dean's South of the Border and having a great meal and a great time with the live music, and will absolutely return. Your loss River City Grill we won't be back.

Fail... With two friends I walked into River City Grill last evening without a reservation. I was told of a 20 minute wait which was not a problem, so I let the hostess know that my party of three would be sitting at the bar; within sight of the hostess stand. At the 20 minute mark I approached the hostess and reminded her that we were at the bar (I pointed to our group) and to let us know when they were ready. At the 35 minute mark I again approached the stand to have the hostess say they couldn't find us and crossed us off the list! Really!?!?! She they sat us immediately only to have 15 minutes pass with a staff member approaching us. Finally we got up and walked out. There are just too many places in Punta Gorda to where you can get a great meal AND good service. The above notwithstanding, we did have a nice time at the bar. The two staff people there we fun and engaging; we left a good tip

Excellent food and service. I went because of the other reviews on Yelp. Everyone paid attention to me while I was there. Just as I was getting to my last inch of tea in my glass, someone slipped by and planted another glass on the table. A dirty plate was quickly taken away.. Everyone there worked as a team, instead of leaving you alone with only the server. The food was great and reasonably priced. Dinner, salad, bread and tea for $20 + tip.

River City has had its problems in recent years. I find that its quality has dropped and the last time I ate there (no too long ago) the service was awful. I always liked the hamburger but that has become a chewy ghost of its former self. While Charles Wallace tries to pass off this restaurant as something close to fine dining it misses the mark. I think he knows it and that's why he's been pushing to keep other restaurants out. Even his new place up the street has lackluster food which is overcome by the younger crowd and ambiance thank goodness. What Punta Gorda needs is more quality venues in the area of what I call dressy casual- you know the place- nice furniture, cloth table cloths and napkins, but not over the top so that you feel the need to wear a coat. A good steak house would make a fine addition but I don't see that happening anytime soon. Sure there's the place over at the motel but I don't really think his quality is up to par with what we need. Oh, by the way, River City has had some issues with the health department lately. Here is the results of their last inspection from the first week of April. Nothing too bad: Violation Observation 10-04-1 In-use utensil for nonpotentially hazardous food not stored in a clean, protected location.observed icee scoop in box 13-03-1 Observed employee with no hair restraint. 23-05-1 Observed residue build-up on nonfood-contact surface. 29-08-1 Plumbing system in disrepair. pipe plugged by 3 comp sink 36-11-1 Floors not maintained smooth and durable. 37-06-1 Observed wall soiled with accumulated grease. 38-07-1 Lights missing the proper shield, sleeve coatings or covers. on kitchen line 51-11-1 Carbon dioxide/helium tanks not adequately secured.

Went back two nights later and had another great meal. Wife had the scallops which were sweet, tender and delicious while I had stuffed grouper. Again we only had to pay for one entree and two beverages (unfortunately, this excellent deal ends on September 30th). Service was superior with most attentive and friendly waitress. I can only say you shouldn't miss River City Grill anytime, but if you can make it during the off-season, you'll be treated to a fantastic deal as well.

I have eaten here lots and the food is great. Out waiter, who I haven't had before was such a snob. He made us feel like we were inconveniencing him by being there. Part of being a waiter and getting a tip is being polite to your customers.

What other restaurant sticks kernels of corn to the bottom of your salad lettuce leaves? And why do they stick? Red and green peppers seem to be their signature flavors. Dessert seems to be a must pass, not very exciting, even though they had a master write their menu descriptions. Their grouper was odd the last time, and they substituted the port wine sauce for a Cabernet sauce on a different dish. their signature pork dish has crashed and melted into a tasteless blob. the ambiance is loud. The service is hit and miss, though the last visit we did not have to return every dish back because they were unwashed. Just another failure in the areas culinary black hole.

This review and rating apply exclusively to the wine program at River City Grill - which is, unequivocally, the very best in the area! Let me begin by quoting Kim Marcus, the managing editor for The Wine Spectator (from their February 2013 issue): "Without a doubt, my biggest complaint is the pricing of wine in restaurants. I've heard all the reasons: Inventory is expensive to keep, servers need to be trained, rare bottlings are costly and difficult to find. Yet it's still hard to swallow blatant overpricing. To relegate pricing to a simple multiple, with the minimum being two or even three times retail, is greed run amok. It's also detrimental to building more of a wine culture in the United States; with prices so high in so many restaurants, it's difficult to entice newcomers or recent converts to wine to imbibe and enjoy, thus lifting the fortunes of all." "Also ridiculous is the price of wine by the glass. I was recently in a local Italian restaurant and a basic Montepulciano red was priced at $8 a glass. Bizarrely, it was only $20 a bottle on the wine list. And the retail price: just $4 a bottle. (Needless to say, my wife and I decided to share a bottle.) Despite all the improvements in restaurant wine service in the past decade or so, pricing remains in the Dark Ages for most. And thank those restaurateurs and sommeliers that price wine appropriately, which in my book is no more than double the retail price." I took the time to download the wine list from River City Grill, and compare their prices to current Florida retail values, using wine-searcher.com . In no case that I could find, did their markup exceed twice retail. And, is the case of their highest value wines, such as Dom Perignon, the markup was considerably less. In addition, the pricing for their wines by the glass program uses no significant price increase - their 6 ounce portion yields just over 4 glasses per bottle, and the price is just one-quarter of that for the bottle. To see how River City Grill compares to their near-neighbor competition, lets look at a few of the establishments that claim to have innovative wine programs. With only two exceptions, River City's HIGHEST by-the-glass price is $6.75, with many selling for $4.50. Trabue, on the other hand, has a list where the LOWEST price is $7.00 per glass. To further clarify the markup that the latter uses, Trabue sells a non-vintage French sparkling wine for $8 a glass, that sells at a local retailer for $7.99 per bottle! Opus, just down the block, doesn't publish their wine list on the internet (and ignored multiple email requests for a copy). But, a personal visit confirmed that anything other than their "house" wines sell for a MINIMUM of $8.00 per glass. The portion sizes at Opus and Trabue are no larger than River City Grill, and probably smaller. So it isn't difficult to conclude which establishment has the fairest (and most respectful) pricing policies. For those unfamiliar with the concept, some restaurants allow customers to bring in bottles of their own wine, and charge a "corkage fee" to cover the cost of service, use of their glassware, and even make up for lost profit. River City Grill's corkage fee is just $10 - less than one-half of what Opus and Trabue each charge for the same service. As a matter of fact, I called Opus to inquire about the corkage fee, and was told that it was $20. When the waitress handed me the bill after dinner, it was $25. You draw you own conclusion.

This is what I would cook at home if I could. It's located in a building that wasn't destroyed by Hurricane Charley. They even use fresh organic local produce whenever possible. Tip - ask if they're doing buy 1 get 1 before you order.

I went here on Christmas Eve with my Parents because we were not in the mood to cook. I have to say I was pleasantly impressed with the place The food was good, they offered an early bird special even on a holiday and they also offered their happy hour drinks. You cant go wrong with 2 drinks a person and 3 full meals for less than $60. I ordered a couple of dirty martinis to drink during the evening, and they were well made and delicious. I also ordered the shrimp scampi. The house salad was fresh and large enough to satisfy my needs for greens. The scampi over linguine was well seasoned, cooked well, good sized shrimp and a very large portion. Overall I was very impressed with the meal and happy with the meal. My parents were also happy with their meals and drinks. A good night of food and drinks and family and a nice way to relax while allowing us to avoid cooking after a couple days of travel.

This is one of the gems of Punta Gorda. There are two reasons I keep going back: great food and excellent service. They have a nice wine selection, and some fabulous entrees on the menu. My personal favorite is Rigatoni Bolognese with Baked Stuffed Grouper a close second favorite. Their menu isn't huge (probably one reason why the food is always so good) but they have something for nearly everyone's tastes. I've never had a bad meal in this restaurant. They have live music on occasion, and it can fill up quickly so I would suggest you call ahead for reservations in busy season (Nov-Apr.) If you haven't tried this restaurant, you should!

My wife and I just moved to the area so we're still exploring and of the few restaurants we've been to so far, River City Grill was by far the best. We came in on our first night in our new house with some friends who came over from Boca Raton to help us unpack. Having just moved from Seattle, we're a little spoiled with good food. The decor was contemporary yet warm and inviting. It wasn't old/kitschy/dated. The menu looked great and we ordered a couple of appetizers. The stuffed mushroom and the crab/artichoke/spinach 'fondue'. Both were good, the 'fondue' (which was more like a spread) was very tasty. I ordered the Delmonico, rare. It was cooked perfectly, nice and tender. My wife ordered the stuffed chicken and it was really good as well, though I don't recall what was in it. One of our friends is a Brit, that is to say he is very particular about his fish and chips. He doesn't normally order the fish and chips because he's often disappointed but he was even pleasantly surprised by the offering. All in all, River City Grill was quite good. I'm sure we'll be back. Oh yeah, they had Red Hook ESB on tap so that was a little taste of home in what I'm finding is largely a beer selection wasteland. They also have a list of closeout wines at pretty good discounts.

I am always trying to find a restaurant -- any restaurant -- worth patronizing in the Port Charlotte/Punta Gorda area. I have heard many good things about River City Grill. It seems that the bar is the biggest draw of this business as there is nothing else to do in the area but drink, get drunk, and drink some more. We were promptly seated and were brought rolls and butter while looking at the menu. The rolls tasted microwaved and quickly became hard as they cooled. We placed our order. Crab cakes New York Strip Steak with baked potato and seafood chowder Chicken and ribs with baked potato and Apple/Chicken soup Our crabcakes came out and I took one bite and left the rest for my friend. They tasted like a filler cake with a scrap of crab thrown in here and there. The soups arrived to the table and still being hungry went directly into the bowl. The chowder didn't have a bad flavor to it. One could taste the cream, potato and seafood and nothing was overpowering. The Apple and Chicken soup was just not great. It tasted as though they put apple sauce, canned chicken, and some water in a bowl; heated it; and called it soup. Eventually our entrees arrived. As usual with my friend and I, we took small portions of each others meals to see how they tasted. The steak was filled with gristle, overmarinated and salty. The potato overcooked and stringy. I moved on to my dish and found my potato was the same as my friends. The chicken was flavorless. The ribs, on the other hand, weren't bad. I don't know if the ribs were only good due to the other portions of the entree, but I finished them and left everything else. On our second trip (two months later), the rolls were the same. I questioned the server and she said they were fresh from the oven -- the microwave oven. We went on to order our appetizer and entrees: Pan Fried Dumplings New York Strip with baked potato and chowder (yes, the same thing) Grilled Togarashi Tuna with split pea soup The pan fried dumplings weren't too bad. They were more like pierogis than dumplings and they could do without the abundance of sauce on the plate and the "Asian" slaw that accompanied it, but the dipping sauce was a good, acidic compliment to the dumplings. Our soups arrived and I tried the split pea soup. Split pea is one of my all time favorite soups; this one was horrible. The soup was not smooth, and like the crab cakes, it tasted more of filler than pea. I put it to the side and shared the chowder. Our entrees arrived and I went right for my tuna. I was not pleased. It was overcooked and slathered in sauces that were not complimentary to the fish. I tried some of the steak and was pleasantly surprised to find that, while still marinated, it wasn't as salty and had a much better flavor and texture. My friend and I just shared his meal and went from there. On my second trip I purposefully ordered items where I am easy to forgive mistakes due to my love of that particular item. I really believe that River City Grill has the potential to be good. They just have to stop trying to make stuff appear high-class or avant garde. Cook simple American fare and it should make it better.

This is a really great place to eat at in downtown Punta Gorda. It was a wide selection of some great food. We had a few appetizers, which were all good. Had the tuna app....boom boom shrimp and both were excellent. We went here on Thanksgiving....turkey and fixings were good. I had the prime rib which was OK. I've had better. Overall this is really a great place! Give it a try

when we walked in the hostess was smiling and polite. at our table, angel our server was smiling and nice. the service flowed very smooth and without effort. it was crowded and somewhat noisy, however you did not feel caught up in all that. we had the calamari that was quite unique and tasteful. we asked angel the ingredients of the sauce and she brought us the bottle. Our Cesar salad was fresh and crispy. I had the grouper. Was a very small and not a fresh portion. One scoop of rice, and a tablespoon of mixed vegetables. The bread was fresh and warm. One of the bus boys pushed 2 large trash containers right through the restaurant. The restaurant was quite clean. The prices were somewhat high for a grill.

Skip this one for dinner for sure. Much of the menu is pricey and definitely not worth it. I've been there for lunch and sandwiches were not bad but just had dinner there and 2 of our dishes were fair at best (and I am being generous) and one was inedible. Waaay undercooked haddock came in a casserole dish with the fish sitting in a one inch pool of watery liquid. The fish was unseasoned and topped with a completely bland sauce. Even the bread basket was bad-stale and hard. Service was poor (even had to wait for them to make coffee). I may be a bit of a foodie but Chef Ramsey would be screaming his head off. You don't have to be a foodie though to be very disappointed in this place. Try Opus 1 (new) for a more creative and well-executed menu, better ambiance, more pleasant and efficient service at a similar price point. Even Jack's which has high and low points in its menu and occasionally not-so-great service is a better choice.

This is my favorite restaurant in Punta Gorda!! I love the relaxed atmosphere!! The service is great and the food is exceptional. I have yet to be disappointed!! The bartender is great and drinks are out of this world!! I highly recommend River City!!!

Have eaten here twice before and food was fine. Service tonight was excellent as always but my spouse's filet was tough and half of my duck breast was inedible due to fat. We got comped for the filet. In addition, the vents in front of the cooking area were being cleaned while food was being prepared. I mentioned this concern to the manager who appeared uninterested and said he told the cleaner to cover the plates?? Nothing was covered and hopefully no debris from the vents ended up in our food.

Absolutely excellent! Food & service were the best in Punta Gorda. Party of 2, 4 glasses of wine, 2 salads, 2 entrees, 2 desserts, $75. Scallops & Tuscan Spaghetti were both amazing. Waitress (Wendy) was more than fast and accurate. Definitely our new favorite.

Tried this place based on the Yelp comments. Service was efficient, if not particularly welcoming.Ambiance acceptable but not "cosy." Had the duck which was on the "special" menu which came with risotto and greens. The duck came more medium-well versus the medium-rare requested (probably was pre-cooked) and the risotto was not flavorful (adding salt didn't help). A lively place on a Tuesday night which seemed to have a lot of "regulars" - especially at the bar.

We strolled in without a reservation on a Saturday, around 8:30pm. We were seated in a booth per our request. They had room in the back of the restaurant across from the kitchen. Restaurant was busy, not crowded. The booth and table were clean and comfortable, but they do need to use more A/C in the back area, because the heat from the kitchen does not circulate out, and is very warm. MaryJane was our server and she was fabulous! We asked about a couple appetizers to share, we agreed on the shrimp! Delicious!! Correct portion size served piping hot. Menu had an eclectic selection. From meatloaf to lettuce wraps to risotto dishes to usda prime steaks! We ordered the shrimp scampi with pasta!! Beautiful, light, delicious, and lots of. freshly sliced garlic! No room for desert, didn't mention the salad for a reason, just average. Worth a visit.

Went here back in June. Forgot about it until just now, and it made me angry all over again. Night started with me putting my hand in gum that was stuck under table. Ordered a glass of red, it had turned. Apps were ok. Ordered the duck. Fat wasn't even remotely rendered, just chewy duck fat. Step dad's scallops weren't seared, looked like they were put on a not hot enough flat top and neglected to the point where they were well done. Sent duck back, "chef" didn't know what to do with it since they'd already sliced it to plate. At that point a new duck breast should have been started of course you can't render fat out of sliced duck and still expect it to be mid rare. I suggest that the kid who cooked my duck breast maybe go on youtube and watch some videos, since his "chef" can't properly train him, or maybe next time I'll just where my non slips and show you how it's done. The only saving grace was the gm or mod that night, she at least gave me a scotch and tried her best to mitigate the situation.

Finally had a chance to taste the cuisine at this restaurant; previously had eaten at the Italia which is owned by the same folks. I had the Butterfish and for an appetizer the "BoomBoom Shrimp." I will definitely be going back to try other dishes. Very good food.

My family had been here before, but if I had I don't recall, and this was a restaurant worth remembering! I was a little unsure at first because when we first walked in the two hostesses left us standing unacknowleged for several minutes while they talked...and talked. They clearly didn't "not see" us because once they finished one turned quite naturally to us and greeted us. It seemed very strange to be left hanging there. The restaurant has very un-Floridian decor: deep reddish walls with niches showcasing modern curios: hourglasses here, cocktail shakers there. The meal was quite enjoyable. I had the sea scallops, tender and cooked with an expert hand, on parmesan risotto and accented with a tasty yet lukewarm sriracha butter. Everyone else in the party went with salmon: grilled for my parents and the phyllo-crusted with shrimp stuffing for my grandmother. My mother tried the holiday cocktail, with some silly name (Singing Mistletoe? whatever), which was tropical and way too sweet. Our waitress was rather abrupt, but got the job done. A note on parking: it's rather difficult to find it on the street, and we only found later that the restaurant itself has its own parking in the back, so FYI. Overall, a delicious meal in an atypical setting. Take me to the River!

We did not have reservations, but it wasn't a problem. The food is fabulous. We started with the seafood chowder , and then we both had Caesar salad. My waitress, Michelle asked if I wanted anchovies - I hadn't has them on a Caesar salad in ages. The bread was fresh and warm. My husband had the Tuscan spaghetti which had chicken, sliced sausages, peas in a white wine pesto sauce and I had the "dry pack" Sea scallops , they were pan seared over risotto. The desserts were so yummy ! The staff was so friendly.

River City Grill Italia. Had Veal Amalfi dinner. Salad excellent, veal was amazing, rich but not too rich, lots of flavored and garlic mashed potatoes were excellent. One of best meals out in years.
